M+E Info-Trucks XXL : Vocational Information for young people
Gesamtmetall, the Federation of German Employers’ Associations in the Metal and Electrical Engineering Industries has a long history of vocational information. The flagship initiative consists of 10 “M+E-InfoTrucks” which inform young people about the training opportunities and job profiles in the metal and electrical engineering industries.
The vehicles provide 2 floors with 80m² of teaching space for a whole class. They are equipped with 3D Monitors, a CNC- milling machine, various other models of machines, hands-on experiments and offer 90 minutes long teaching units for grades 7 to 10.
On request, the InfoTruck comes free of charge to schools, vocational information events or open house days of companies. The use of an InfoTruck on the premises of a company has a particularly lasting impact, as school classes are able to experience professions “live” in the company and then have the opportunity to obtain more detailed professional information in the Truck.
